A Seeking Generation

I recently just got back from a missions trip to Honduras. This was my first missions trip and I pray not my last. It was an absolutely amazing experience! We were able to meet the needs of the villages, share the gospel and bask in the glory and presence of the Lord.

One day a Nicaraguan gave his testimony. One of the things he said has stayed with me and I can’t stop thinking about it. He said the church in Nicaragua was ready to go underground when the time comes. Such a powerful declaration!!

Do Christians here in America have the confidence and boldness to say this? Yea we aren’t in a situation like that yet but are you prepared to be? When persecution is at the table will you stay or walk away?

Those who are given much are also required of much. Comparing America to Honduras or Nicaragua, we (the church) are given much by the Lord! We have all kinds of access to the Word of God, we have tools and opportunities to share the Truth. Do we take them or let them pass us by, leaving it to be the responsibility to others?

We should be a seeking generation. Ones who seek the face of the Lord continually. Our eyes must be turned from evil and turned to what is holy.

Imma be honest, this is something I must work on! I can no longer let opportunities to advance the gospel pass me by! I want to be a generation that seeks the face of the Lord the living God.

~Pray for those who are your brothers and sisters in Christ, those that are standing firm in the Lord in the midst of persecution~

        Listen to this:

Psalm 24
1The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
2For He has founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the waters.
3Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
4He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
5He shall receive blessing from the Lord,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face.

7Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
8Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
The Lord mighty in battle.
9Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
10Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory.
